Key Points
Dengue, Chikungunya, and Zika
The Paca region is the region in France most affected by local transmission of chikungunya, with a total of 34 outbreaks and 438 cases linked to these outbreaks (+7 cases since the last update). Of the 15 outbreaks still active, 4 appear to be ongoing. In addition, 14 isolated cases with multiple exposures have been identified in the region.
Four dengue outbreaks totaling 16 cases (no new cases) have also been identified. All have been closed.
West Nile Virus Infections
In 2025, the Paca region recorded 28 human cases of West Nile virus infection (no new cases since the last update): 17 in Bouches-du-Rhône, 9 in Var, and 2 in Vaucluse.
Acute respiratory infections
Influenza and influenza-like illnesses: SOS Médecins and emergency department activity comparable to that observed during the same period last season; SOS Médecins activity is decreasing.
Bronchiolitis (under 1 year): SOS Médecins and emergency department activity comparable to that observed during the same period last season; SOS Médecins activity is decreasing.
COVID-19: SOS Médecins and emergency department activity lower than that observed during the same period last season.
