Acute Respiratory Infections
Flu and flu-like illnesses: Increased activity at SOS Médecins and in emergency departments across all age groups, at levels comparable to those observed during the same period last season in both networks. In particular, there is increased activity in emergency departments among children under 15, at a higher level than in the previous two years.
Bronchiolitis (under 1 year): The region has entered the pre-epidemic phase. Activity at SOS Médecins and in emergency departments is on the rise
COVID-19: low activity levels in both networks, comparable to those observed last season during the same period at SOS Médecins, lower in emergency departments.
Dengue, Chikungunya, Zika, and West Nile Virus
End of enhanced surveillance for chikungunya, dengue, Zika, and West Nile virus (WNV) infections on 11/30. This update is the last of the 2025 season.
Preliminary summary for the region:
128 imported cases of dengue / 4 episodes of local transmission accounting for 16 cases;
98 imported cases of chikungunya / 35 outbreaks of local transmission accounting for 455 cases / 13 locally transmitted cases with multiple exposures;
2 imported cases of Zika;
30 human cases of WNV infection.
