Key Points

Influenza and Influenza-Like Illnesses

  • A 10-week epidemic, from early December (W50-2025) to mid-February (W07-2025).

  • Peak reached in week 52 across all surveillance networks.

  • High activity in community care and hospitals, particularly among those under 15 years of age. The highest activity in terms of hospitalizations following emergency department visits in the past 10 years.

  • Type A viruses were the most prevalent.

Bronchiolitis (under 1 year)

  • After revision, a prolonged epidemic (11 weeks), from late December (W52-2025) to early March (W10-2026).

  • Low-intensity epidemic.

COVID-19

  • Low activity throughout the 2025–2026 winter season.

Pollen and allergies

  • Moderate to high pollen exposure in the eastern and southern parts of the island.

  • Allergy-related activity at SOS Médecins slightly increased, at the usual level for the season.
