COVID-19

A sharp increase in viral circulation, as measured by biological indicators, for the third consecutive week. An increase in other indicators tracked as part of surveillance, with the exception of the number of patients in critical care (excluding non-COVID cases), which is declining. The Omicron BA.5 sublineage is dominant in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region and nationwide.

Chikungunya, dengue, Zika

Since May 1, surveillance of chikungunya, dengue, and Zika cases has identified 6 imported dengue cases in the region: 2 from Cuba, 1 from Costa Rica, 1 from Brazil, 1 from Thailand, and 1 from Réunion.

Pollen

The allergy risk is moderate in the region, mainly due to grass pollen.

Extreme heat, heat wave

  • Emergency departments: Activity in emergency departments for conditions potentially related to heat is decreasing.

  • SOS Médecins: The proportion of consultations at SOS Médecins clinics for diagnoses of “heatstroke and dehydration” is decreasing.
