Epidemiological Surveillance in Corsica. Update as of September 15, 2022

COVID-19

Week 36: Viral circulation continues to decline, but at a slower rate than the previous week. The number of patients in general hospital wards is rising slightly, while the number in intensive care is falling.

  • Incidence rate decreasing;

  • Testing rates are stable or even slightly decreasing;

  • Positivity rate decreasing;

  • Covid-19-related activity at the SOS Médecins association is slightly decreasing;

  • Covid-19-related activity in emergency departments is stable;

  • slight increase in the number of patients currently hospitalized in general wards;

  • slight decrease in the number of patients currently in intensive care;

  • no new deaths reported.

Chikungunya, Dengue, Zika

Surveillance for cases of chikungunya, dengue, and Zika began on May 1 and ends on November 30. To date, no cases have been confirmed in Corsica.
