• Between 2021 and 2023, the age- and sex-standardized incidence rate of patients hospitalized for ischemic heart disease in Corsica (576 versus 459 per 100,000 inhabitants in France) was significantly higher than that of France, with an average of 1,793 patients hospitalized per year in the region. The standardized prevalence in 2022 was 6.5% in the region, higher than that of France (5.5%).
