HIV/AIDS
LaboVIH Testing: The HIV testing rate rose from 65 to 69 per 1,000 residents in 2019, while the HIV prevalence rate remained stable at 1.4 positive HIV serology results per 1,000 samples collected in the Pays de la Loire region.
DO HIV: 203 HIV infections were reported in the region in 2019. The proportion of people born in sub-Saharan Africa increased and accounted for 56%.
Use of e-DO: Mandatory electronic reporting continues to expand in the region, with 92% of reports submitted via the e-DO platform (compared to 87% in 2018).
Prevention
Pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) for HIV prevention has expanded significantly in the region, with a 73% increase in 2019.
