LaboVIH Testing: Testing has been significantly impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. The HIV testing rate fell from 69 to 62 per 1,000 residents in 2020, while the HIV positivity rate decreased from 1.4 to 0.9 positive HIV serology results per 1,000 samples collected in the Pays de la Loire region.
HIV Diagnoses: 108 people residing in the Pays de la Loire region learned they were HIV-positive in 2020. It is worth noting that there is a higher proportion of people born in sub-Saharan Africa in the Pays de la Loire region compared to metropolitan France excluding the Île-de-France region.
Use of e-DO: Mandatory electronic reporting continues to expand in the region, with 95% of reports submitted via the e-DO platform (compared to 92% in 2019).
STI screening (SNDS) and STI surveillance system by CegiDDs
Pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) treatment for HIV prevention has expanded significantly in the region, with a 73% increase in 2019.
