  • As of June 20, 2017, in the Pays de la Loire region, 3 departments are under an orange alert (Maine-et-Loire, Mayenne, and Sarthe) and 2 departments (Loire-Atlantique and Vendée) are under a yellow alert

  • Since the start of the heat wave: - An upward trend in emergency room visits, particularly in Sarthe. This increase affected all age groups - A downward trend in SOS Médecins consultations in the cities of Nantes and Saint-Nazaire, located in Loire-Atlantique. 90% of consultations involved people under 45

  • For yesterday: - 9 additional emergency room visits for heat-related conditions (from 11 visits on 06/19 to 20 on 06/20). These 20 visits involved all age groups, and 16% of them were hospitalized (n=3, including 1 under 15 and 2 aged 75 or older) - 7 fewer SOS Médecins consultations for heat-related conditions (32 consultations on 06/19 and 25 consultations on 06/20). Among these 32 consultations, 80% of patients were under 45 years of age
