Epidemiological Surveillance in the Pays de la Loire Region. Update as of September 30, 2015.

Over the past week in the region:

  • Consultations and emergency room visits for asthma attacks in children have begun to decline following the peak at the start of the school year. Consultations for nasopharyngitis through SOS Médecins continue to rise.

  • Reports of mushroom poisoning, recorded by the Angers Poison Control and Toxicovigilance Center, indicate 46 cases in the region since early July, including 13 over the past week. Three of these cases were severe. The 46 cases reported in the region account for 7.5% of the 613 cases reported in France during this period. A Health Watch Bulletin summarizing these poisoning cases in the region for 2013 and 2014 will be released very soon.
