Epidemiological Surveillance in the Pays de la Loire Region. Update as of September 11, 2014.

Over the past week in the region:

  • A slight increase in diagnoses of asthma attacks and nasopharyngitis, which is expected to continue in the coming weeks;

  • A decrease in consultations at SOS Médecins Nantes for insect bites, with 69 cases in week 36 compared to 114 in week 35. However, this number remains high compared to previous years.

  • Based on reports recorded by the Angers Poison Control and Toxicovigilance Center, the InVS reported 58 cases of poisoning related to mushroom ingestion, including 2 severe cases, in the region between July 1 and September 7, 2014. These cases, observed earlier than last year, account for 14% of the 411 cases reported in France.
