An outbreak of bronchiolitis has begun in the region, with SOS Médecins in Nantes and Saint-Nazaire and the pediatric emergency departments at the Nantes and Angers university hospitals exceeding their thresholds. This outbreak first began in the eastern part of the region (Angers) and then spread to the west (Nantes).This marks the second consecutive week of decline in SOS Médecins consultations for gastroenteritis since the All Saints’ Day holiday. This outbreak has had little impact on pediatric hospital emergency departments, suggesting the circulation of norovirus (characterized by predominantly vomiting and limited severity).
