Epidemiological Surveillance in the Pays de la Loire Region. Update as of August 8, 2017.

Over the past week in the region:

An increase in reported cases of hepatitis A in July linked to two factors:

  • First, a nationwide and European increase affecting men who have sex with men in particular, beginning in February 2017

  • Second, a local foodborne outbreak that occurred during a family gathering in June in the Vendée region.

The decline in enterovirus meningitis diagnoses continues slowly in the region, as it does nationally.

A new increase in mosquito bites was observed during consultations at SOS Médecins in Nantes over the past weekend, still linked to the high tide in July about ten days ago.
