Surveillance of carpal tunnel syndrome in the general population in Maine-et-Loire in 2002 and 2003.
An epidemiological surveillance program was implemented as a pilot study over a three-year period (2002–2004) in the Maine-et-Loire department to estimate the incidence of carpal tunnel syndrome in the general population, regardless of whether it was work-related, and to examine its distribution by age, sex, industry, and occupation.
