Over the past three weeks, there has been a slight increase in the number of detected dengue cases, which may indicate a gradual intensification of viral circulation. However, the total number of cases remains limited, and no epidemic outbreak has been observed. In total, since the beginning of the year, 18 locally acquired cases of dengue have been identified on the island, including 7 confirmed cases and 11 probable cases.
In the presence of any dengue-like syndrome: fever ≥ 38.5°C associated with one or more nonspecific symptoms (musculoskeletal pain, hemorrhagic manifestations, frontal headaches, asthenia, gastrointestinal symptoms, retroorbital pain, maculopapular rash) in the absence of any other infectious cause.
In the event of a confirmed case / a suspected cluster of cases / a clinically highly suggestive case Report the event to the Health Surveillance and Emergency Platform (contact information on the last page of the epidemiological report). Thanks to this report, an epidemiological investigation and prevention and control measures will be immediately implemented. Dengue and chikungunya are notifiable diseases that must be reported without delay
