Influenza Surveillance in Réunion. Epidemiological Update as of September 20, 2012.

Epidemiological Situation: Flu-Like Illness Outbreak in Réunion

Over the past three weeks, there has been an increase followed by a stabilization in the number of outpatient visits for influenza-like illness. In addition, the number of emergency room visits for flu-like symptoms has also been rising since week 34. However, virological surveillance does not show an increase in the isolation of influenza viruses in samples collected by sentinel physicians.
