Epidemiological Situation

The seasonal flu epidemic, which began in June, has been declining since week 28, with a decrease in visits for flu-like symptoms at primary care clinics and emergency departments, accompanied by a decrease in the number of flu viruses identified in Réunion.Since the start of the outbreak, three patients with confirmed severe influenza have been admitted to the intensive care unit and have been discharged with a favorable prognosis.
