• Since August 23, 2024, 1,069 cases of chikungunya have been reported on the island, including 927 in 2025.

• The outbreak continues, with 362 cases reported in S06.

• Cases are now being reported in 21 municipalities. Réunion is experiencing a chikungunya outbreak.

Acute Respiratory Infections

• Increase in outpatient visits for acute respiratory infections (ARI) with very limited health impact.

• In hospitals, an increase in the Covid-19 positivity rate has been observed.

Gastroenteritis

• Health indicators remain at baseline levels.

Leptospirosis

• Fewer than 10 cases of leptospirosis have been reported to the ARS since January 1, 2025, compared to 62 for the same period in 2024.
