Epidemiological Situation

The dengue virus continues to circulate actively in Réunion. Viral circulation is now affecting nine municipalities on the island, either persistently (St-Louis, St-Leu, St-Joseph, St-Pierre, and Le Tampon) or in its early stages (St-Paul, St-Denis, Les Avirons, and Trois Bassins).In light of this situation, Level 2B of the Orsec Plan’s arbovirus control measures (“Intensification of local viral circulation and risk of progression to an epidemic”) remains in effect.
