Dengue Situation in Réunion. Epidemiological Update as of July 31, 2014.

Epidemiological Situation

Five clusters of dengue cases have been identified since the beginning of the year in Réunion, indicating the presence of virus transmission chains on the island. The most recent dengue cases occurred in June in La Saline-les-Bains and Bernica in the hills above Saint Paul, and no cases were reported during the month of July. Given the epidemiological situation, the ARS OI has decided to move to Alert Level 1B of the arbovirus control plan (“Knowledge of a dengue or chikungunya outbreak in the regional exchange zone and absence of cases or occurrence of isolated cases”).
