Chikungunya and Dengue in Réunion. Bulletin dated February 18, 2025.
Key Points
Since August 23, 2024, 1,069 cases of chikungunya have been reported on the island, including 927 in 2025.
The outbreak continues at a steady pace, with 362 cases detected in S06. Cases are now being reported in 21 municipalities.
The increase remains very pronounced in Le Tampon (228 cases, a sharp rise), which continues to report the highest number of cases, but the number of cases is rising rapidly in other municipalities in the south and north.
Since the beginning of the year, the spread of dengue has remained limited.
