Surveillance of arboviral diseases in Occitanie. Epidemiological update as of September 15, 2017.

In Occitanie, since May 1, 2017, 70 suspected cases have been reported in the 10 departments under enhanced surveillance: - no locally acquired cases have been confirmed - 21 imported cases (i.e., returning from areas where the virus is circulating) of dengue, 3 of Zika, 1 of flavivirus, and 0 of chikungunya have been confirmed

Nationwide, from May 1 to September 15, 2017: - Since August 11, 2017, an outbreak of local transmission of chikungunya has been identified in a neighborhood of the town of Le Cannet-des-Maures (Var department). As of September 15, 2017, 7 confirmed cases and 2 probable cases have been identified.- 106 imported cases (i.e., returning from areas where the virus is circulating) of dengue, 9 cases of Zika, 4 cases of flavivirus, and 4 cases of chikungunya have been confirmed
