Public Health Surveillance in the Midi-Pyrénées Region. Epidemiological Update as of September 6, 2013.

Highlight: Heat Wave and Health Alert System – End of the initiative

As outlined in the plan, the seasonal monitoring phase of the 2013 Heat Wave and Health Alert System ended on August 31. A preliminary summary of this monitoring is presented on pages 9 and 10. We would like to extend our special thanks to all regional stakeholders for their collaboration throughout the summer, without whom the monitoring system put in place could not have been operational, namely:

  • the Midi-Pyrénées Regional Health Agency,

  • Météo-France,

  • the Midi-Pyrénées Regional Emergency Observatory,

  • the emergency services participating in the Oscour® network,

  • the SAMU,

  • the SOS Médecins 31 Association,

  • the civil registry offices of the region’s computerized municipalities.
