Highlight: Prevention of work-related cancers

On August 22, the Directorate General for Health (DGS) published the final report of the 2009–2013 Cancer Plan. The ministers responsible for health and research will use this assessment—which will be supplemented in 2014 by an evaluation from the High Council for Public Health—to develop the third Cancer Plan. One of the plan’s measures, broken down into several actions, aimed to strengthen the prevention of environment-related cancers, particularly in the workplace. These prevention efforts are aligned with the 2010–2014 Occupational Health Plan and the 2009–2013 National Environmental Health Plan.
