Flu: Activity remains high, but the peak of the epidemic has passed; according to the Unified Grog and Sentinelles network, the flu epidemic has been active for 10 weeks; in Languedoc-Roussillon, the epidemic peak was reached in week 2013-05, but the incidence rate for week 8 remains high (778 cases per 100,000 inhabitants); In France, weeks 2013-05, 6, and 7 were marked by very high incidence rates, exceeding 900 cases per 100,000 inhabitants; the rate for week 8 is trending downward and is estimated at 771 cases per 100,000 inhabitants; in Languedoc-Roussillon, 6 new severe cases of influenza admitted to intensive care were reported (3 in week 8 and 3 in week 9);

Gastroenteritis: moderate activity; regional and national incidence rates remain low and below the national epidemic threshold; the use of SOS Médecins services is trending downward in France but remains stable in the region.
