Monitoring of seasonal epidemics

• Flu: The regional epidemic is ending; the incidence rate for clinical flu in private practice has been below the national epidemic threshold for the second consecutive week, and visits to emergency departments and SOS Médecins associations have been declining for four weeks.

• Gastroenteritis: visits to emergency departments and SOS Médecins are decreasing significantly, but data from the Sentinelles network report an incidence rate for acute diarrhea that remains above the national epidemic threshold, with 245 cases per 100,000 inhabitants (threshold = 110).
