Public Health Surveillance in Languedoc-Roussillon and Midi-Pyrénées. Epidemiological Update as of April 5, 2016.

Key Development

Continued decline in influenza-like illness in Languedoc-Roussillon and Midi-Pyrénées: The epidemic peak was reached at different times in Languedoc-Roussillon (week 7) and Midi-Pyrénées (week 8). After a slowdown in the decline of new cases, week 2016-13 is again marked by a drop in the monitored indicators, both in private practice (SOS Médecins associations) and in emergency departments. After 11 and 10 epidemic weeks, respectively, Languedoc-Roussillon and Midi-Pyrénées could see the end of the epidemic within one to two weeks. In mainland France, the national epidemic peak was reached in week 11.
