Health Surveillance in Occitanie. Epidemiological Update as of March 7, 2017.
Key Points
Influenza and influenza-like illnesses: In the Occitanie region, the influenza epidemic has been over since Week 06, and the monitored indicators continue to decline. However, vigilance remains essential, particularly when clinical signs suggestive of influenza appear in at-risk individuals, given that the influenza virus may still be circulating.
Bronchiolitis (in children under 2 years of age): In the Occitanie region, the bronchiolitis epidemic has been over since Week 01, and the monitored indicators continue to decline.
Gastroenteritis: After a peak in activity observed in week 05 of 2017, indicators have been trending downward for several weeks, and the Occitanie region is no longer in the post-epidemic phase as of week 09 of 2017.
