Hospital Activity Monitoring
Data from the regional surveillance and alert server show occasional spikes in hospitalizations in the departments of Lozère and Pyrénées-Orientales on April 18 (data currently being verified). Other indicators have remained relatively stable.
Monitoring of seasonal epidemics
Flu: The epidemic has been over for several weeks in the region and is ending in mainland France. The national incidence rate estimated by the Unified Network of Sentinelle Physicians and GROG is below the epidemic threshold in weeks 2012-14 and 15, with 80 cases per 100,000 inhabitants for the latter week, the threshold having been estimated at 95 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
Gastroenteritis: In week 2012-15, the regional incidence rate for acute diarrhea estimated by the Inserm Sentinelles network is below the national epidemic threshold, with 92 cases per 100,000 inhabitants (threshold = 175)
Measles Surveillance
Since the last epidemiological update (dated 04/05/12), only one mandatory report of measles has been received by the ARS.
