Key points

Bronchiolitis

  • SOS Médecins: Procedures for the diagnosis of bronchiolitis in children under 2 years of age were on the rise compared to the previous week.

  • Oscour® Network: visits and hospitalizations for bronchiolitis in children under 2 years of age were on the rise compared to the previous week.

COVID-19

  • SOS Médecins: Procedures for suspected or confirmed COVID-19 decreased in week 44-2023, following an increase observed the previous week (101 procedures, 215 procedures per 10,000 consultations).

  • Oscour® Network: The number of emergency room visits for suspected COVID-19 remained stable compared to the previous week (196 visits, or 75 per 10,000 consultations), and a slight increase in the proportion of activity related to COVID-19 was observed (Figure 8). Among these emergency room visits, 39% were followed by hospitalization.

Gastroenteritis and acute diarrhea

  • Sentinelles Network: The incidence rate of acute diarrhea cases seen in general practice was 31 per 100,000 [5; 57], down from previous weeks.

  • SOS Médecins Network: Gastroenteritis activity was low in week 44 of 2023, and procedures for all ages involving a diagnosis of gastroenteritis were also decreasing compared to previous weeks.

  • Oscour® Network: Gastroenteritis activity was low in week 44, and consultations for gastroenteritis diagnoses across all age groups were down compared to previous weeks.
