COVID-19

  • In Occitanie, according to data available as of September 9, 2022, for week 35 of 2022, incidence and positivity rates continued to decline, and the testing rate remained stable compared to the previous week: a positivity rate of 18.7% (down 2.3 percentage points from week 34 of 2022), incidence rate of 184 cases per 100,000 inhabitants (-15%), and testing rate of 988 cases per 100,000 inhabitants (-4%). At the regional level, incidence and positivity rates were increasing among those under 15 and decreasing in other age groups.

  • The effective reproduction number (Rt) estimated from regional SI-DEP data through September 3, 2022, was 0.86 (0.84–0.87), stable compared to the previous week (0.90).

  • In Occitanie, as of September 6, 2022, 303 confirmed cases residing in the region had been reported by healthcare professionals since the first case occurred on May 11, 2022.
