In Occitanie, according to data available as of October 6, 2022, for week 39 of 2022, incidence and positivity rates were on the rise compared to the previous week: a positivity rate of 22.3% (+3.4 percentage points compared to week 38), incidence rate of 351 cases per 100,000 inhabitants (+25%), and testing rate of 1,570 cases per 100,000 inhabitants (+6%). At the regional level, incidence and positivity rates were rising among adults, particularly those aged 45 and older, and declining among children.
The R-value estimated from regional SI-DEP data through October 1, 2022, was 1.17 (1.15–1.18), stable compared to the previous week (1.14).
Monkeypox
As of October 4, 2022, 312 confirmed cases residing in Occitanie had been reported by healthcare professionals since the first case occurred on May 11, 2022.

According to virological data from the university hospitals in Nîmes, Montpellier, and Toulouse, the circulation of respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) was increasing compared to the previous week.
