COVID-19

• According to data available as of July 27, 2022, at 3:00 p.m., 1,631 COVID-19 patients were currently hospitalized in Occitanie, 8% of whom (N=132) were in critical care units (ICU, intensive care, and continuous monitoring).

• At the regional level and across all age groups, the weekly number of new hospitalizations decreased in week 28 compared to the previous week (697 versus 754, a decrease of 8%). The number of new admissions to critical care units also decreased (80 versus 108, a decrease of 26%).

• The R value estimated from regional SI-VIC data through July 24, 2022, was 1.01 (0.94–1.09), stable compared to the previous week.
