COVID-19

In Week 27, according to data available as of July 13, 2022:

  • The four SOS Médecins associations (Nîmes, Montpellier, Perpignan, and Toulouse) recorded 426 cases of suspected or confirmed COVID-19 (equivalent to 1,368 cases per 10,000 consultations), stable compared to Week 26 (436 cases, 1,302 cases per 10,000 consultations).

  • 1,461 COVID-19 cases were currently hospitalized in Occitanie, 8% of whom (N=113) were in critical care units (intensive care, critical care, and continuous monitoring).

  • Incidence and positivity rates were increasing compared to the previous week.

  • 99.4% of screened tests had a mutation profile consistent with the Omicron variant (presence of at least one of the following mutations or deletions carried by this variant: K417N, del69/70, S371L-S373P, or Q493R).
