Key indicators

City-wide surveillance

  • SOS Médecins: 1,113 cases of suspected COVID-19 per 10,000 cases (Week 15*, 1,947 in Week 14*);

  • Sentinelles Network: 176 [118;234] (tele-)consultations for acute respiratory infections per 100,000 inhabitants (W15, 260 in W14).

*W15/W14: for week 15 (April 6–12, 2020) and week 14 (March 30–April 5, 2020)

Surveillance in long-term care facilities, including nursing homes

  • 296 reports, 2,005 cases including 116 deaths as of April 14, 2020.

Hospital surveillance

  • Oscour® Network: 700 screenings for suspected COVID-19 out of 10,000 screenings (Week 15, 1,067 in Week 14);

  • Hospital laboratories: 11% of tests positive in week 15 (15% in week 14);

  • Sentinel intensive care units: 53% of cases aged 65 and older and 74% of cases with at least one risk factor. 81% of cases who died in these units had at least one comorbidity.

Mortality surveillance

  • Moderate excess mortality from all causes (all ages and among those aged 65 and older) in week 14 in Lot, Hérault, and Hautes-Pyrénées.
