Chikungunya, Dengue, and Zika in Occitanie. Bulletin of June 5, 2025.

Key Points

  • From June 1 to 3, 2025, 36 imported cases of dengue and 58 imported cases of chikungunya were identified.

  • To limit the risk of local transmission, 102 entomological surveys and 43 vector control treatments were carried out in the vicinity of the cases.

  • Since the beginning of the year, numerous cases of chikungunya imported from Réunion have been reported in mainland France. Although import pressure remains high, the sharp decline in viral circulation on the island (more information) has led to a decrease in the number of imported cases in mainland France and in Occitanie in particular.
