Key points

• Among adults, emergency department visits for mental health issues remain within the usual range;

• Among children, emergency department visits for mental health issues did not show any unusual trends during 2023 but remained above the levels observed in 2019–2021;

• Since the beginning of 2023, emergency department visits for suicidal ideation among those aged 11 and older have remained higher than usual (an upward trend since 2021);

• Monitoring of other indicators (Oscour® or SOS Médecins) shows no significant changes.
