• Starting on June 19, 2025, the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region experienced a heat wave. In light of this, Météo France issued an orange heat wave alert for five departments in the region on June 20, 2025. On June 22, 2025, the heat wave ended in the region.

• The use of emergency care for all causes (hospital emergency rooms [Oscour®] and SOS Médecins), across all age groups and among those aged 75 and older, remained within the usual fluctuations for the period.

• An increase in activity at SOS Médecins and hospital emergency departments for the iCanicule indicator (including hyperthermia, dehydration, and hyponatremia) was observed during the alert period across all age groups.
