Chikungunya and dengue: enhanced surveillance in Gironde and Lot-et-Garonne
Since May 1, 157 suspected cases have been reported. Among these, 60 cases of chikungunya, 26 cases of dengue, and 3 co-infections have been confirmed, all of which were imported.

Acute gastroenteritis (AGE)
The number of emergency room visits for AGE is stable and in line with expectations in Aquitaine but slightly higher among children under 2 years of age in France. Indicator stable or declining according to SOS Médecins in France as well as in Aquitaine.

Influenza and influenza-like illnesses
Start of the 2014-2015 surveillance season; a few sporadic cases have been recorded.

Bronchiolitis
Activity related to bronchiolitis in emergency departments is clearly on the rise this week, and visits by SOS Médecins continue to increase, at levels comparable to those of previous years. The AquiRespi network, which operates an on-call respiratory physical therapy service, has begun its shifts; over the weekend of October 18–19, 21 children were treated.

Enterovirus Meningitis and Virology Seasonal respiratory
viruses have begun circulating, according to the Bordeaux University Hospital, and a correlation has been observed between enterovirus and enterovirus meningitis cases recorded by the Oscour® network.
