Mortality
: After a one-time spike above the thresholds in S45, the number of recorded deaths in S46 returned to levels typically seen during this period.

Emergency room visits by vulnerable populations
Emergency room visits by people aged 75 and older remain close to expected levels for this time of year. An increase in activity was observed among children under 1 year of age.

Reportable Diseases (MDO)
3 cases of Hepatitis A in a nursing home in the region out of the 7 reported in November.

Chikungunya and dengue: enhanced surveillance in Gironde and Lot-et-Garonne
Since May 1, 182 suspected cases have been reported. Among them, 63 cases of chikungunya, 27 cases of dengue, and 3 co-infections have been confirmed, all of which were imported.

Acute gastroenteritis (AGE)
In Aquitaine and France, activity is stable and close to expected levels.

Influenza and influenza-like illnesses
Activity is stable. No new severe cases have been hospitalized in intensive care.

Bronchiolitis
Visits to emergency departments for bronchiolitis continue to rise, as seen nationally (+30% compared to last week). The increase in SOS Médecins visits and cases managed by AquiRespi continues, with a trend comparable to the previous season.

Enterovirus meningitis and Virology
Circulation of seasonal respiratory viruses according to the Bordeaux University Hospital, particularly rhinovirus.

Mushroom poisoning (indicator not detailed in the body of the document) Since July, in Aquitaine, 89 cases according to CAPTV and 15 according to Oscour® (1,135 and 451 in France). Note: particular vigilance is advised regarding the Bidaou species in the region, as consumption can lead to severe health issues.

Carbon monoxide poisoning (as of 11/20/14)
Since September 2014, there have been 8 episodes of CO poisoning affecting 20 people in Aquitaine. Nationally, reports have continued to rise since mid-October, including 7 deaths from accidental poisoning.
