The SentEcole network, coordinated by the regional unit of the InVS (Cire), consisted of 19 volunteer sentinel elementary schools spread across 11 school districts in Gironde during the 2012–2013 school year. The data transmitted daily by the participating schools via the Ecolia application of the Gironde Departmental Directorate of National Education (DSDEN) were analyzed and monitored daily by the Cire.
