  • 187 imported cases of dengue and 2 imported cases of chikungunya identified as probable or confirmed in Nouvelle-Aquitaine from May 1 to November 30, 2024; no imported cases of Zika identified;

  • Travel to Martinique or Guadeloupe for more than 60% of imported dengue cases;

  • 152 entomological surveys (mosquito searches) and 139 vector control treatments carried out around imported cases residing in or visiting the region;

  • No indigenous cases of dengue, chikungunya, or Zika identified in the region.

West Nile Virus

  • 2 confirmed indigenous human cases of WNV infection identified in Nouvelle-Aquitaine from May 1 to November 30, 2024;

  • First identification of the virus in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques (human case) and the Vienne (avian cases).
