Influenza Surveillance in Upper and Lower Normandy. Update as of February 6, 2014.

Situation in Lower and Upper Normandy

A general review of regional indicators shows that influenza activity has gradually increased in Lower Normandy and Upper Normandy in recent weeks. The indicator values for week 2014-05, along with the fact that the epidemic threshold has been exceeded at the national level and in several regions—particularly in the southeast (Sentinelles and Grog physician networks)—suggest that both regions of Normandy will soon enter an epidemic phase. Monitoring of regional indicators in the coming weeks will confirm whether or not this transition to the epidemic phase has occurred.
