Influenza Surveillance in Normandy. Update as of February 9, 2017.

Key Points

In week 2017-05, most regional influenza-related indicators showed a slight decline, suggesting that the regional epidemic peak was reached in week 2017-04. However, the region remains in the seasonal influenza epidemic phase for the seventh consecutive week. The A(H3N2) viral subtype continued to circulate as the overwhelming majority, as in the rest of metropolitan France. Monitoring of regional indicators for the current week will confirm the decline in influenza activity and the passing of the epidemic peak in Normandy, as defined at the national level since week 2017-03.
