Bronchiolitis

  • This season, the bronchiolitis outbreak lasted 11 weeks, a typical duration for such an outbreak. Its intensity was lower than in previous seasons, with indicators remaining at moderate levels at the peak of the outbreak.

Influenza and Flu-Like Illness

  • Influenza activity indicators are declining in Normandy, with a different epidemic profile across age groups.

  • Among those under 15, activity remains very high, particularly in urban areas.

  • Among those over 65, activity has been declining for the past four weeks.

  • Strains A (H1N1), A (H3N2), and B/Victoria are circulating simultaneously.

  • The proportion of deaths with a mention of influenza among electronically certified deaths is stable and remains at a high level.

Acute gastroenteritis

  • Activity indicators for acute gastroenteritis in community settings and hospitals remain stable at moderate levels across all age groups.

  • Activity in the community is, however, slightly higher among those under 15 years of age.
