Health Monitoring in Normandy. Update as of November 22, 2023.

Key points

Bronchiolitis

  • The current bronchiolitis outbreak in Normandy is stabilizing at high activity levels in urban areas (SOS Médecins) and in hospitals (emergency rooms). These levels are lower than those observed last year and similar to those from two years ago. The RSV positivity rate among respiratory specimens analyzed in the lab also remains high.

COVID-19

  • After a 6- to 8-week decline following the peak of the current epidemic wave, activity indicators for Covid-19 are stabilizing at moderate levels in urban areas (SOS Médecins) and in hospitals (emergency departments). The same trend is observed in the number of positive laboratory test results.

Acute Gastroenteritis (AGE)

  • Activity in private practice (SOS Médecins) has remained above the usual baseline level for the second consecutive week, though this trend is not observed in hospitals (emergency departments).
