Health Monitoring in Normandy. Update as of November 2, 2023.

Key points

Bronchiolitis

  • Normandy is in the midst of an epidemic. Activity in emergency departments continued to rise, while activity at SOS Médecins remained stable. Activity levels were lower than those of the previous season during the same period. The number of RSV cases identified by virology laboratories was rising sharply. However, the circulation of rhinoviruses and enteroviruses remained very high.

COVID-19

  • All COVID-19 activity indicators continue to decline across all age groups, confirming the waning of the current epidemic wave in Normandy.

Acute Respiratory Infections

  • Activity remained stable at SOS Médecins and increased in emergency departments, though with disparities by age group. This trend reflects the rise in bronchiolitis among children and the decline in COVID-19 across all age groups.
