COVID-19

In Week 24, a further increase in SARS-CoV-2 circulation was observed in Normandy. With testing rates remaining stable, the incidence rate (IR) rose by 18% to 389 per 100,000 people (vs. 330 per 100,000 in Week 23), and the positivity rate also increased to 26.6% (+3.9 percentage points). This increase in the IR was observed across all departments in Normandy and for all age groups.

In pre-hospital care, the number of calls handled by SOS Médecins for suspected COVID-19 cases was down very slightly, but activity in emergency departments rose sharply.

The number of new hospital admissions across all departments and in critical care units was slightly increasing. The number of deaths was decreasing in hospitals, while there were none in long-term care facilities.
