Epidemiological Surveillance of Armada 2013 – June 6–16, 2013.

Over the past 25 years, the Armada de Rouen has become one of the most important events in the maritime world. Its reputation places it among the leading international events. Along with the Tour de France, it is one of the premier French events spanning a long period and attracting a large audience (source: Armada Association). This year, for its sixth edition, a new gathering of boats, "Armada 2013," will take place from June 6 to 16, 2013. Millions of visitors are once again expected on the quays of the Port of Rouen. Due to the concentration of large numbers of people in the same place at the same time, any gathering of people can lead to an increase in health risks. These risks may be exacerbated by weather conditions and the layout of food service facilities, thus requiring enhanced health monitoring.
