The Normandy region did not experience a heat wave during the summer of 2024. However, the heat did have an impact on public health, with 157 heat-related deaths recorded over the course of the summer. In addition, there were 750 emergency room visits (449 of which resulted in hospitalization) and 97 SOS Médecins calls related to the heat wave.
